LATEST UPDATE:
1.Smart Special Division called me saying they will be replacing the item at their cost. (Who should?)
Smart stands that the phone is NOT FAKE. There is an ongoing discussion between them and Powermac regarding their statement that there is UNAUTHORIZED THIRD PARTY MODIFICATION with the phone. I clarified that Apple gave the statement when they called me that it is either FAKE or MODIFIED or a COUNTERFEIT one.
I asked for the reversal of my P2,800 billing which is a service I did not use.
2. Logo at the back of the phone is regulatory for Europe Variant. Model code is MQ3E2PP/A (Philippine Variant). - See last photo.
(If I did not post this on social media baka hindi pa ginawan ng action. Sigh)
UPDATES:
1. I forgot to include, Powermac SM Aura is also alarmed daw since my issue is the second case they handled. The other phone is from Smart din.
2. Smart sent me a copy of the back of the phone with the standard logos i mentioned. (see last pic then compare it to the back of my phone)
3. Smart said they are investigating and insists they only issue Authentic.
4. Smart asked for the IMEI found at the sim tray, but there is no IMEI found. (see last pic) - I checked with Apple website, wala talaga nakalagay sa iPhone6
5. Received a confirmation email from Apple that the result of their investigation is basically the same with Powermac, as they are the authorized provider, and can be enough evidence.
6. Complaint is forwarded to DTI and NTC. DTI says it's a violation of my consumer rights.
So I just received a feedback from Apple regarding the phone i got from my plan with Smart Communications, Inc.. Apple cannot replace the item because the phone either MODIFIED or FAKE.
Apple Support is saying the item SMART gave me is a COUNTERFEIT phone, and it did not come from any Apple Store/warehouse/factory. This was confirmed by their Engineering team. The phone has signs of modifications(see PowerMac Service report below). Powermac can't service the item because it does not pass their standard for warranty and the item is totally not from Apple.
I got this phone on July 16, 2018 after ko magrecontract ng plan ko. Two days later, bigla nalang namatay yung phone. I did a force restart and reboot pero it was stuck sa Apple logo lang and ayaw na mag-open. Bumalik ako sa Smart on July 18 to request the phone to be replaced sana since 2 days palang after mabigay sakin and hindi ko pa siya nagagamit. Sabi ng Smart Communications SM Aura, kailangan ko daw magpunta ng Powermac since sila lang ang authorized na tumitingin ng iPhone and sila daw ang magbibigay ng recommendation to replace the item. I went to Powermac SM Aura and they said I need to pay P2,000 for restoring the phone.
After a day, may miracle nga bigla nalang nagbukas ang phone. Apo to take pictures.
On July 29, while going back to Davao City from Samal Island, bigla na naman namatay ang phone. Juskolord. Witness dito mga kasama ko sa Mt. Apo how frustrating it was. Bumalik ako Manila di ko magamit to. Buti may extra phone ako.
Nung July 31, i am able to open the phone again. Trinansfer ko na lahat ng pictures for back up.
1. Damaged ang Pin sa Display Connection
Worst, i am being billed for the service I did not even use.
So ano to Smart Communications Inc., ganun ganun nalang? Tapos ayaw niyo ireplace?
For those who got their iPhones from Smart, better check niyo din.
