Globe Deploys LTE 700 MHZ

Globe has recently deployed its 700 MHZ band on most of Metro Manila's high populated areas. Previously this frequency is being uses for tv signals which transitioned to mobile broadband in 2014 which Globe applied to use in June 2016 after the acquisition of San Miguel's Telco assets.

Globe is said to be committed on deploying 4,500 multi band, multi mode software defined radio base station to up to 95% of municipalities in the Philippines. This claims to improve overall speed and stability of globe services.

As a consumer we will have to wait and see if this actually improve the overall service, let me know in the comments if your internet actually improved.
