Grading System Program

One of the innovations in the field of education is to have a tool that will help the teachers to lessen their work. The developers have done a study that will help the teachers to lessen the time and work in grading their students. CLSI Computerized Grading System is a tool that enhances the way and process of grading a student from a manual and paper-based system into an automated and computerized grading system.

A grading system plays an important role in the management system of the school. But, such systems do not often relate expectations, outcomes, and performance. As each student desires to achieve a good score for each assignment, exam, project, and reports, the whole process adds heavy workload for teachers in order to make their evaluation fair, comprehensive, and accurate. From the faculty perspective, these are necessary to avoid disagreement between students and parents. A computerized grading system is a highly desirable addition to the educational tool-kit particularly when it can provide less effort and a more effective and timely outcome. [TH2014]

In the past few years, the Celestine Learning School Incorporated was practicing the manual grading system or what we called “Paper-based grading system” which is very resource and time-consuming in the part of the of the teachers in the sense that they are going to write every points or grade that a student earned from his performance and calculate it at the end of a quarter.

As a result, the developers developed a computerized grading system which tends to replace the manual grading system into an “Automated Grading” which will lessen the workload and provides accurate information needed of the school. It will benefit not only the teachers but the administration as a whole.

Information System (IS) or application landscape is any combination of information technology and people’s activities using that technology to support operations, management, and decision making. In a very broad sense, the term

Information System is frequently used to refer to the interaction between people, algorithmic processes, data and technology. In this sense, the term is used to refer not only to the information and communication technology (ICT) an organization uses but also to the way in which people interact with this technology in support of business processes. Some make a clear distinction between information systems, and computer systems ICT, and business processes. Information systems are also different from business processes. Information systems help to control the performance of business processes. One type of Information System is the Transaction Processing System. [ELMS]

Management information system, or MIS, broadly refers to a computer-based system that provides managers with the tools to organize, evaluate and efficiently manage departments within an organization. In order to provide past, present and prediction information, a management information system can include software that helps in decision making, data resources such as databases, the hardware resources of a system, decision support systems, people management and project management applications, and any computerized processes that enable the department to run efficiently. The grading system that will provide the needed information in a faster, more convenient way by storing file of the student’s grades in a computer system that will lessen the effort of faculty in storing files of each student every now and then.
