I did some testing using iPhone 5s,6 and 7
Note : this is not a
% scientific test pero I tried to conduct and note the results as accurate as I can. Apologies kung walang picture or video dahil na misplace ko noong nakaraan ang charger nang camera ko, di ako natuwa sa kuha nang phone na kita ang % nang batt and details sa amp/volt monitor ko.

Materials used for this test
Orig iPad 12W charger from iStudio Shangrila Branch
Orig lightning cables x 2 (parehas bnew from iStudio and a friend who sold his unused iPhone accessories)
Usb digital power meter (Amp, Voltage , Capacity)
IPhone 5s,6,7
A will represent Amp
V will represent Volts
W will represert Watts
W = A x V
5W = 1A x 5V
10W = 2A x 5V
Results :
iPhone 7 @ 20% A 2.19, V 5.2, W=11.38
IPhone 6 @ 20% A 1.9, V 5.19, W=9.86
IPhone 5s @ 20% A .98, V 5.07, W=4.9
Meizu EP51 A .11, V 5.01, W=.5
The numbers vary din depending sa battery level and temperature kaya I made sure na lahat sila 20% when I made this test and naka flight mode din. The above numbers yan halos average 3sets each device.
Meaning? Kahit 10W or 12W yan, the phone will only take what it can. In this case, 5W lang ang kinukuha nang 5s while iPhone 6 pataas can utilize faster charging because the phone allows it. Given na orig ang cable and adapter mo. Yang ang risk sa mga fake, pwedeng mas bumilis pero in expense of risking your device na mag short circuit or masira battery and other components like mga ic.
Inadd ko yung Meizu EP51 Bluetooth Headset, you'll see na kahit 12W ang charger, .5W lang kinukuha nya(Point Five) Same analogy sa ibang device, kung ano lang ang supported nang device, yung lang kukunin nya na input.
Questions :
Q: Bakit parang ang bilis naman mag charge sa 5s and older models? Answer : Given na orig ang cable and ipad charger mo, It may charge slightly faster than 5W since mas malaki and efficient ang 12W pero we're talking about max of 20mins siguro difference since 5W lang talaga kinukuha nang 5s sa ilang test na ginawa ko using 12W charger. Those insisting na the 12W can charge their 5s twice as fast as the 5W eh well sorry , pero placebo effect lang yan (try nyo orasan) or pwede rin may problema talaga 5W charger nyo. Sa susunod timer test when charging 5W vs 12W charger naman try ko pero marami na ibang test ganyan online, check nyo nalang. Nasa sa inyo na if ano paniniwalaan nyo.
Q: how about SE?
I have not personally tested it , wala akong SE pero much like 5s ang sabi nang officemate ko max 15mins -20min difference na observe nya sa charging time nang 5W vs 12W to 100% full.
Q: Naka 5s po ako ngayun and fake charger ko or gusto ko lang bumile nang orig, dapat ba 5W nalang bilhin ko instead na 12W iPad charger? Answer : No.
kung bibile ka sa iStudio 1,090 ang price nang 12W and 5W. Yes, parehas sila nang price. Magagamit mo yan pang charge sa powerbank at 2.4A max or 12W and pag nag upgrade ka nang iPhone 6 pataas ma utilize mo faster charging rate nya. I don't see any reason why bibile ka pa nang 5W na brandnew from an official store unless gusto mo lang talaga nang maliit, overall you're getting the short end of the stick. Luge ka.

Sa apple PH site 1,090 din ang 5/12W charger. Sa power mac mas mahal nang 200-300
. Kaya iStudio, Beyond the Box or Apple PH site kayo kung gusto nyo sure na orig.
You don't have to use Apple Branded na cable, pwede naman kahit ano basta MFI certified. May mga mura like Anker, Amazon Basics & Miniso to name a few. Lahat yan brand na yan makikita mo sa Apple site na MFI certified talaga.
