Connect your zenfone 5 to internet using PC side internet connection via a USB Cable
Things Needed: (credits to XDA)
1. Intel Driver Setup
2. Zenfone 5 (Rooted – SuperSU)
a Must be installed with Busybox – (link: http://www.apkhere.com/app/stericson.busybox.donate)
3. USB Cable
4. ReverseTethering_3.19.zip – (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371345)
Instruction:
1. Install IntelAndroidDrvSetup1.1.5.
2. After installed, connect your phone to your pc using usb connector.
---do not forget to enable debugging mode---
Go to settings>about>software information>build number (tap 7 times to enable developer option) then, go back to settings>developer options>usb debugging (enable/check it).
Then now your pc will recognize your mobile. And intel drivers will update automatically, wait
for a moment like these until successfull update.
Disconnect Z5 in your PC.
3. Connect again your zenfone 5. Allow USB Debugging : Tap OK
4. Extract “ReverseTethering_3.19.zip”. Open the extracted folder . Click AndroidTool.exe.
5. “Device” will appear if the ADB connection is Good.
Click “Check Dns”.
6. Click “Install hack (optional)”. Automatically install “Xposed Installer.apk & Hack Connectivity Service.apk. Click OK.
7. Go to your zenfone 5. Look for the installed “Xposed Installer”.
Go to Module > Hack Connectivity Service:
Make sure to check the box.
8. Then Back, Go to Framework> Tap Install/Update. Grant SuperSU request. Tap OK then reboot.
9. After reboot. Allow USB debugging “OK”.
Go to AndroidTool.exe. Tap refresh to check if the ADB connection is still Good (appeared “device”).
If not connected “authorize” appear instead of “device” in AndroidTool.exe.
Unplug your Z5 and reconnect.
Tap again “USB debugging OK”.
Click Refresh in the AndroidTool.exe. “device” will now appear.
10. Click Connect. Grant USB tunnel request via SuperSU in your Z5. Wait until Done.
11. Your now connected to your PC via “reverse tethering”.
